Pick the right way for families to pay

OpenApply supports several payment providers as well as offline methods. The right choice depends on where your school is, the currencies you accept and how you reconcile payments.

Option Good for Where to set it up
FariaPay UK schools taking GBP, USD, EUR or CAD with a simple checkout School Settings > Integrations > FariaPay
Stripe, Braintree, Cybersource or PayPal Schools that already have an account with one of these providers Settings > Payments
Alipay Families in China Settings > Payments
Flywire International families paying in their own currency Settings > Payments
Offline methods Bank transfer or cheque, recorded by staff Settings > Payments

Questions to ask before you choose

  • Which currencies?

Check that the provider supports every currency your families pay in.

  • Who holds the account?

Most providers need a merchant account in the school's name.

  • How will finance reconcile?

Ask your finance team which provider reports suit them best.

  • Where are families?

Families in China may need Alipay or an offline option.
