Centralising Correspondence in OpenApply

OpenApply supports messaging directly to applicants and parents, and you can also send and receive e-mails and file attachments using your personal e-mail account.

OpenApply allows you to centralise this correspondence, so that all communication is stored on the Applicant Profile. To do this, OpenApply provides a Dropbox Address to Bcc or Fwd email correspondence to.

Obtaining your Dropbox Address via your Dashboard

From the dashboard, click on your name to navigate to your personal information.

Copy your unique Dropbox Address and save it to your e-mail contacts so you can Fwd: and Bcc: to this address quickly.

Note: please ensure that all e-mail addresses that you will use to correspond with parents and applicants have been added to Your E-mail Addresses. To do this, click on Add email address. Once an email address is added, click Save Changes. Your Dropbox Address will only accept incoming e-mails from addresses that are listed here.

When sending an e-mail to an applicant or family, enter your Dropbox Address into the Bcc: field of the e-mail.

The e-mail, including any file attachments, will be automatically saved to the Applicant Profile.

Fwd: e-mails you receive to OpenApply

If you receive an e-mail from an applicant or family, Fwd: the e-mail to your Dropbox Address.
