To let parents pay with WeChat Pay, enable WeChat Pay in your WeChat Service Account, then enter your App ID, Merchant ID (Mch ID) and API key in the WeChat Pay settings at Settings > Payments > Payments Methods. Parents then pay by scanning a QR code in WeChat.

If you have not enabled WeChat Pay in your WeChat Service Account yet, do that first, including enabling the payment gateways, before you set up WeChat Pay in OpenApply.
Find your App ID (Developer ID)
Go to the Weixin Official Accounts Platform: https://mp.weixin.qq.com.
Log in to your WeChat service account with your school's WeChat Super Administrator details.

Select Settings and Development > Basic Settings. The AppID (Developer ID) is shown here.
Find your Mch ID
Log in to the Weixin Pay Platform: https://pay.weixin.qq.com.

Go to 账户中心 > 账户设置 > 商户信息. The 微信支付商户号 is your Mch ID.
Set up your WeChat Pay API key
Log in to the Weixin Pay Platform: https://pay.weixin.qq.com.
Go to 账户中心 > 账户设置 > API安全.

Under 设置APIv2密钥, select 设置 and set up your own API key. Copy it for use in OpenApply.
Enable the WeChat Pay payment gateways
Log in to the Weixin Pay Platform: https://pay.weixin.qq.com.
Go to 产品中心 > 我的产品.

Enable these four products: JSAPI支付, APP支付, Native支付 and H5支付.
Enter the details in OpenApply

In OpenApply, go to Settings > Payments > Payments Methods and open the WeChat Pay settings.
Enter the App ID, Merchant ID and API key, then save.
Parents can now pay through OpenApply by scanning a QR code in WeChat.
